We've raised a great deal of money for a children's hospital. I sold all the origami stars folded from tinfoil coffee bags, all but two of the hand-decorated candles, all but one of the hand-stitched cards and from the handmade felt ornaments only 3 are left. Considering that I had about a hundred of those, I am well content. The surprise gifts were the burner, though, as they looked great and were cheap. They were gone to the last piece within the hour.

As always, you can see some of the photos on my Pinterest page, on the board Charity fair, Christmas 2015. And for those without an account, you can see me below sitting in my booth before the fair would start. I didn't get to sit down in the following 4 hours or so. ;)

Thanks. I was quite pleased myself. :)
I also sold for another colleague, the art teacher, who couldn't be there. I think I must have raised some 50 000-plus Forints altogether in the two booths, which is a serious percentage of the total of 706 000 altogether. I'd say I did quite well.

That I have. And now I'm mightily proud of myself.

How are you doing?

Doing fine! School is over for this week, though I have a lot of studying to do tomorrow and over the weekend - but I'm very excited to be travelling to Mom's next Thursday!

Well, considering how weak our money is, in your terms it probably isn't that much, but we are happy to be able to support the children's hospital. Since healthcare in this country has sunk to the bottom of the ocean we don't even have...

That sounds fabulous--it was worth all the work! But you (and the kids) make beautiful things, so I'm not surprised :)

Thank you. I was honestly surprised that they sold so well; most of the time people are more willing to buy worthless kitsch than things that needed a lot effort to be put into them, but today we seem to have had customers with a refined taste. *g*

Try the Pinterest image (https://www.pinterest.com/pin/341640321712959797/), it is a lot bigger.
