Had a bloody hectic week

wiseheartHence no posts since last Saturday. In fact, this is the first time I managed to get into my main PC instead of just checking things on my laptop or iPad. Boring, boring details are behind the tag in order to spare the public. *g*
Not only is my timetable a teeny bit impractical, my boss also seems to think that we still don't spend enough time at work and comes up with new, splendid ideas to keep us in longer. Therefore this is the first time in the week I actually got to type up the meagre 3 pages I managed to write for "A Matter of Time". Real Life work is toxic for creativity.
Also, I had various additional chores this week. Like getting my obligatory annual x-rays done (we must do this each year, since we work with children), taking Mum to the dentist, who works at the other end of the city, and other delightful things.
And temperatures keep jump ten or so degrees up and down between day and night, or between two consecutive days. My circulatory system finds it hard to deal with the abrupt changes. I guess I'm not getting any younger, eh?
I still don't have my satellite TV back, my printer is still not working, our hover has died and it seems that something in our loo is broken because we have a slight trickle of water coming from behind the wall panel. That means we're depending on three different people (all guys) to fix things for us (a new hover we manage to buy on our own). Given how reliable guys are, I'm not optimistic to have our broken things solved any time soon. It's very hard to get things fixed - I don't know why. They aren't doing us any favours, after all - we pay for it!
Ah, well. I'm too exhausted to be even really mad. At least I've managed to type up the stuff I wrote. Now we're going to do the shopping for next week (Mum needs to get out of the flat, too) and we'll try to find a new hover that just might fit into the wardrobe in the hall.

Date: 2015-09-12 07:39 pm (UTC)We didn't buy the hover, in the end, because we didn't have any extra hands to carry it home, but we chose the one we'd like to buy, so I'll have to fetch it next week. But we did have lunch at the shopping centre, which means no cooking and no washing up. That left me with enough energy to spare to finish my felt ornament and bake an apple pudding cake. After that I had a nice, hot bath, so I'm content.
