"Serpent's Lair" moved
Aug. 23rd, 2015 10:01 pmTo AO3, I mean. I decided to post the individual story arcs of "Adventures of a Consulting Time Lord" separately, in the vain hope that people won't be so intimidated by the length of the series that way. That leaves me with having to move the second Interlude, and then the series - or rather as much as there is of it - will be complete over there, too.
Unfortunately, work restarts tomorrow, so I'll have considerably less time for doing things I actually like to do. Not that I wouldn't like teaching, but - 4 years after the original deadline when I would have been able to retire and still at least 3 or 4 other years to go - I'm incredibly tired of it. I could get used to being mostly home and doing things that I simply enjoy. Ah, well.
I went to the official translating place to have my German papers - the ones that prove that yes, I did work there and paid the taxes and stuff - into Hungarian for the retirement folder. The price for the translation of 3 meagre pages is outrageous. I work more than a week for that. But they have the monopoly and I have to pay whatever they demand. Well, if it allows me to retire two years earlier than I otherwise would, it will be worth it.
Did a lot more felt work during the last weeks. I'm close to 70 pieces by now - will have to count them again. Christmas gifts won't be a problem this year. Alas, I won't have the time to do much of those during school term, so hobby-wise I'll be back to paper embroidery, I think. That's nice and relaxing, too, and I will need something relaxing, I think.
