I've updated the Alternate Equinox story with the third chapter. It'll be the last one for quite a while, as I've written Chapter 9 ahead of myself, but none of the ones in-between. Anyway, here's the new chapter, in which Ransom and Maxwell have a really ugly break-up:

As for beverage, I'll have whichever one will take the edge off sore muscles after 4-1/2 hours of whacking yew bushes.

Er, uh, maybe I should pass on bloodwine. Not sure about its properties, but I'm guessing that, since I know what the other two are, that third one must have something to do with vampires. I think, for the moment, I prefer to be unembraced, at least in the vampiric sense....

I think you should go for the miruvor. It doesn't only warm you up, but rubbing it into sore muscles has wondrous healing properties, I hear.

Yeah, embraced by vampires is such a... final solution. I suggest cuddling with hunky Elves instead.
