Frigging nitpickers!

I so hate people who only comment to point out mistakes! Especially if they are wrong. They don't appreciate the hard work and love one puts into a story; they only read to find mistakes and point them out triumphantly.
I got two such reviews this morning. The self-important idiot on FF.Net told me that the source of some semi-canon background fact I used for A Matter of Time wasn't the one I mentioned in the A/N but a different book. Excuse me? I would know which book I used as reference better than them, wouldn't I? They didn't actually checked their facts, just assumed they were right and used the chance to be condescending. Like in the Tolkien fandom where every semi-liter ate moviegoer who never read the Books but happened to come across a few dubious online sources think themselves to be the experts.
The other review, on AO3, was meant to be helpful, I am sure. Still, it is annoying that they seem to believe that the only thing of importance in a complicated multichapter story is the actual age of a character who wasn't even the focus of the events. Quoting to me some cast or crew interview I didn't have the chance to know. And the whole thing is irrelevant anyway, the story being a crossover and an AU.
I removed the AO3 comment and blocked the self-righteous idiot on the Pit of Voles. It might seem petty, but I am not willing to let people who don't appreciate my work to clutter my review bord again. They can put one out of the joy of writing completely.
