Easter candles on Pinterest

With the help of a young colleague, I've figured out how to upload my own pictures to Pinteres. I've created a new board where I put up all the pics from the Easter candles my 5th-term-kids made last year. The photos aren't always the best quality, as they were made by Anna, one of the girls, with her mobile phone in a hurry, but I tried to make them up a bit.

Edit: I also uploaded a few of my Easter and Christmas biscuits and cakes to the respective boards. And pics of my hand-painted Easter eggs.

This was a very interested and active group. We also made hand-stitched cards together and baked a great deal.

They were absolutely adorable at ten. Now they're a bit harder to bear, as they're slowy becoming teenagers, but I still like them. :)

I basically let them do what they wanted. Although I pinned up a few possible designs, I told them to do what they like, as long as it is vaguely related to Easter.

I particularly liked the grapes and the flowering vine. The variety shows how individually they interpreted the idea. I'm guessing they would have pleased with their results.

Ah, yes. And the parents, too, as they got the candles as Easter presents.

Aren't they? They took weeks for the kids to make, as they only had one hour a time to work on them, but it was worth the effort, I think. We then packed each candle into cellophan, added a little label and gifted it upon the respective parents.

Yes, we all enjoyed it a great deal. In 5th grade they usually spent at least part of the afternoon at school, so we had time for long-term projects.

Oh, definitely! I couldn't post the pics where the kids are actually working, because of privacy righzs, but it was fun indeed.
