Not to mention highly addictive. Yesterday, I went to Aldi's to buy some groceries and stumbled over a whole lot of wonderful paperwork sets, all arranged to make easily paper balls in the shapes of Easter bunnies and chickens and lots of other stuff. Needless to say that I couldn't resist buying two of the sets, the ones with the bunnies and the chickens. They were... well, not exacly cheap. But they're beautiful, and I'll make perhaps one or two little figures for this year's Easter table, and save the rest for the upcoming years. Or so I hope.

I also bought specific colours to make marble-like Easter eggs and ones with various self-adhesive patterns that supposedly can be removed after having coloured the eggs, so that the shapes will show up in white. For that, of course, I'll have to hunt down eggs with white shells, which are not only hard to find but considerably more expensive than the brown ones, but, well, I wasn't able to resist.

Yes, I know I'm hopeless. But there are worse addictions, right?

Oooh marbled Easter eggs! That's my favourite kind of Easter egg paint.

And hell, treat yourself to nice things, you deserve it!

My thoughts exactly! Considering how little joy I have left in my work, I definitely need this!

I visited the art lesson in grade 7 today. Made Easter eggs with Serviettentechnik and a lamb of wool. It looks like a shaggy dog, lying on its belly, but I like it. The kids amused themselves greatly, seeing my attempts...

There is one particular shepherd dog in Hungary, called a komondor, that really looks like a sheep from afar. Until you get to see the teeth, that is....

Oh goodness yes the komondor! Let's say you created a komondor and that was exactly your purpose :D

I love them, too, I grew up with Mom telling stories about her aunt and uncle's komondor

Actually, I am deadly afraid of dogs, but at least komondors are beautiful beasts.

There are indeed worse addictions, but in terms of intensity, I think art supplies are up high on the list! My theory is that it's the colours, especially of sets that have an array of hues. However, there is also the appeal of how long they usually last. They are like an investment. (I'm not helping with your addiction, am I?)

No, but that is all röghöz. Paper love is not an addiction I would truly want to rid myself of. Paper can be a beautiful thing.
