Success!

I had two really, really successful days!

Firstly, I have finished Chapter 18 to Arthur's Quest - Book One, wrote 4 pages of the next chapter and figured out how this particular story will end, alltogether with 21 chapters.

Then I wrote out the entire plot summary to my long-nurtured Merlin BBC/Camelot story idea, so that it would actually make sense. Needless to say that it's going to be. 25-chapter monstrosity again, unless it spawns a few more parts in the process. I think I should try my hand on drabbles next...

Then, if you remember, I bought this DIY-set in Vienna:

And was very angry because it didn't include any instructions. Well, thanks to previous experience with such things as well as a very useful link prvided by lindahoyland, I have produced my first shimmering paper angel an hour or so ago. It's not perfect yet, but now I know where the taps are, and the next one will be even better.

I also stitched a rather complicated X-mas card and did a great deal of Merlin-and Camelot-related research. Go me!

The only thing I had to postpone was giving the paper balls a try. Stupid supermarket had a hundred different tools, just not the conic thingie you need to make those little loops on the end of the wire, and without that I couldn't even stert. Grrrrrr!

I hope so. I prefer self-made Christmas decorations, and the links you provided are very helpful. I am hopeless at effective web search.

We are going to make garlands of little bells out of nespresso capsules with the kids next. A colleague provided hundreds of them. We have already scratched out the used coffee residues for the compost heap at school and washed the things. They had a week and a half to dry out completely during autumn break, so we can start with the creative part when we get back.

Go you! Fic summary AND a pretty paper angel AND a card! I feel like a slacker: I've done a bit of cleaning, raked up the pine needles out back for the second time (the tree was planted by the landlady's father when she lived here as a child).

I have picked up my knitting again, the knee-length cardigan I started years ago. I finished the back earlier this year and started the two front pieces while down to the sea, but ended up taking those two apart and restarting... twice. I've got the pattern worked out now, so it's just sitting down to it regularly.

Good luck! The only thing I've ever managed to knit was a scarf, and even that ended up... well, alternately shaped.
