Reporting back
Oct. 27th, 2014 10:01 pmWell, we are home again. Thanks for the good wishes. We had a lovely time, not too tiring for Mum, who had a medium-sized cold, unfortunately, and we came back with an earlier train because we both felt a bit exhausted. Nonetheless, it was fun.
I bought a set for making paper angels and paper balls, respectively, for Christmas. Was a bit annoyed when it turned out they didn't have the slightest instructions within the package. Apparently, they want one to buy the books for the technique, too. Drat. They weren't cheap, and now I'll have to see where I can find some basic instructions how to make the things. I almost figured out the angels, but there's one step - the first and most important one - I still have no idea how to make. I'll have to experiment with cheap office paper first.
Not that it would be cheap much longer, mind you. Our government, in one of its not-so-rare moments of self-proclaimed brilliance, has just declared that they're planning taxing office papers. And cosmetics. And washing powder. And artificial flowers. And the internet. So, I think I should stock up on basic things for the next decade or so.

Date: 2014-10-29 12:09 am (UTC)And yeah, Vienna is great. One day, when the two of you can travel again, we can meet there. I know the city well enough by now to show you around - we visit it twice or thrice each year, after all.

Date: 2014-10-29 12:07 am (UTC)Mum is feeling slightly better, thanks. I won't let her out of the house for the next two days, as a warm, even temperature is the best for a head cold.
