According to FF.net:
Crossover - Doctor Who & Sherlock - Rated: T - English - Adventure/Friendship - Chapters: 70 - Words: 96,505 - Reviews: 169 - Favs: 69 - Follows: 126 - Updated: once a week, regularly.

Whining behind the cut - read it to your own peril.

Now, other stories with similar numbers of parts and also regularly updated usually have reviews beyond the quadruple digits. So, what am I doing wrong that scares the casual reader away? Yes, I do have my faithful readers, and I love you, guys, I really do. *hugs faithful readers*

But why is it that in the rare cases someone else can be arsed to review, they usually do to find fault? What have I done to these fandoms - or, indeed, to any other fandom in which I'm active - to deserve this?

I don't expect anyone to read and review everything I write, just out of friendship. But why is it that my stories are so unattractive to casual readers? I mean, I know that "Adventures" is long. But I do write short stuff, too (occasionally), with the same results.

Sometimes I think Circe was right when she said she had the feeling of wearing a FANDOM PARIAH shield on her back. That's what I feel like most of the time, too.

Do you reply to your comments? I think that makes a major difference in the amount of comments a story receives. (If you do reply to all comments, then please ignore what I've just said.)

I do, occasionally. Whenever a reader raises a question that I feel obliged to answer. Or when they happen be so nice that I feel I have to thank them. Not every time, though. With my demanding and time-consuming day job, I'm glad to find the time to do the actual writing. *sighs*

As selfish as it is, I would prefer you to be writing! Thanks for the marvelous writing you do, and please be aware that you are appreciated.
