Well... I've checked my stats both on FF.Net and SoA, and the results are a wee bit discouraging. (The same's true for most of my stuff posted to LJ, too.)
1) Some of my stories have more chapters than reviews.
2) Most people get more reviews for a short ficlet or a drabble than I get for a multichapter epos.
3) Every third or fourth review I actually do get is either a backhanded compliment, a nitpick (often unjustified) or downright mean-spirited. The Torchwood fandom is the only exception, thanks to the fellow antigwennites, though some visitors from the Whoniverse do seem to think it's their duty to lecture me.
Such are the joys of my writing life. But again, it has been like this since I became active in this fanfiction business more than a decade ago. Sometimes I really don't know why do I still care. It's not like it would be changing in the foreseeable future.
Perhaps I really do write crap, lack originality or whatnot. :(
