... seems to have started. Ithilwen isn't the only one who got bitten lately.

Yestereve I got bitten by a very specific plotcritter (they are like plotbunnies, just smaller and more insistent, so they get literally everywhere). So I found myself writing on a prequel to "Cold Comfort". It's decades before the Ring War and describes how Finduilas helped her hubby to get rid of that annoying Thorongil.

I found myself introducing Denethor's older sisters, Morwen of Lossarnach visiting her relatives shortly before Thengel's death and a circle of quiet, elegant and incredibly dangerous high-born noblewomen deciding that no matter how useful Thorongil might be for Gondor, pushing the Steward's Heir into the background is not a Good Thing(TM).

The ladies are positively frightening. So is what my muse is doing with me. Why, o why am I not allowed to finish my ongoing projects first, before I jump into a new one?

Good luck dealing with the plotcritter infestation! Maybe calling an exterminator in to fumigate your place would help? from the description you gave of them, plotcritters seem to bear a remarkable resemblance to roaches...

They can be bothersome at times, but what would I do without them? My main problem is that I have too many ideas and not enough time. I've five different ideas to the DĂșnadan Project, for example, complete with already beta-ed prologues that will tie them to the LOTR-timeframe, so that people can get easier access. And Gildor's whole biography that needs to be written one day. And Thranduil's great and tragic tale... *sighs*

And I haven't even examined closely the idea about the Necromancer and some Elven wraiths...
