Still very spoiler-y, so mind the tag.

I liked the wedding ep best, despite an overly sentimental and therefore OOC Sherlock. At least it was funny. I laughed really hard at some scenes. The one with Mycroft working out will remain my favourite, I think.

Now, ep 3 I really hated. The plot wasn't bad in itself, though the erratic filming still gives me a headache, but good Lord, the character assassination at large! The Holmes parents are still idiots, Sherlock and Mycroft are now apparently willing to sell each other (since when?), Mary is stupid enough to believe that shooting Sherlock would solve her problems, and are they truly planning to bring back Moriarty? Because if they are, then I'm done with this show. I always hated that insane cockroach.

I'm perhaps the only one not impressed with Magnussen as the chief villain. And I really, really hate what they've done with Mary. She should have been the opposite of Sherlock, someone who could ground John after his loss, not this shady character. Sorry, Messires Moftiss, but I'm not buying your headcanon in this. And, as much as I love Mycroft, this much explosure has robbed him of his enigmatic air and made him woefully colourless.

The Mary plot sas simply horrible. I prefer my own take of Mary too... All three different versions of her, although the Dr Morstan from "Illustrious" is probably my favourite. I might write some more adventures in those settings later on.

I'd be happy to continuing editing Sherlock stories for you. They are a tonic after the dire series. One thing that especially annoyed me was they made it impossible for casual fans to understand ,As for Mary, the actress reminds me of a friend which made what they did all the more horrifying.

Actually, I liked the actress. She and Freeman have good chemistry, which isn't surprising. I use her as a template in two of my Mary interpretations. I just hate what they turned the character into in the end.

BTW, if you want to read a really good Mary, I highly recommend an author by the pen name of englishtutor on FF.Net.

I enjoyed TSoT best, too. I liked almost everything about the episode, the case, the cinematography, the original characters, so many little details, like Sherlock teaching John to dance and writing a waltz for him. I suppose my key complaint was that John was marrying Mary, but he does have to marry Mary. The question is what happens to the character next? And what happens to the baby that is on the way? I have simply decided that the baby is not John's. If it is and the baby dies, I will have a hard time watching/imagining John dealing with that. If it is and Mary takes the child away, almost the same problem.

Hopefully, Mycroft can recapture his mystery. What are we to do about the remark about another brother?!?! Some fic writers have decided that Q is the third Holmes brother and that I could accept, but there is a danger of losing the greatest charm of Sherlock if the storylines get too close to James Bond. For me, HLV already did that and now I am hoping for some way out of it because Sherlock, above everything, must be independent. He must not be turned into an agent who is owned by a government.

So, more ruminating about all of this and then more fic, I hope. Otherwise, I may finally go back to some of my WIPs!

I like the fact that John married Mary, at least until ep 3 - but I'm not into Johnlock, so I probably see things differently.

I'd really hate if they brought a Bond character into Sherlock. There are those of is who aren't into Bond, either, and that would shut us out. The series is already about to turn into one big insider joke, playing any more fanservice would make unaccessible for the casual viewer. The moment the third brother shows up, I'll be washing my hands on the show. I read too much bad fanfic featuring an additional Holmes, I don't need to see it in canon, too. The parents were bad enough.
