My favourite "Sherlock" writers

So, since I promised to post other things than just update alerts, I was trying to think of something of interest and came to this topic.
I've been reading a lot of Sherlock fanfic lately, and most of it is moderately entertaining at best. Let's not discuss all those horrible high school AUs, Omegaverse obscenities (and no, the Mpreg part is not what bothers me in those) or the simply mediocre stuff in which you wouldn't recognize the characters without their names being told.
There is some good stuff out there, though; you just have to be lucky to find it. I'm discussing only stories posted to FF.Net here - AO3 is still beyond my abilities to navigate properly, and I hate the appearance of the page. It kills my eyes. Here on LJ I suffer from the same problem. Most people use one of the new styles, with letters so tiny that my eyes tear up after the first page.
Yes, I know you can read in your own style, but since the last rehaul, *those* letters are way too small as well. Unless I have the author on my flist and can use the Expand function to make the story readable. But that kinda defies the goal of finding anything new.
So, FF.Net it is. And despite all the dreck you have to wade through to find the rare pearls, there is some excellent stuff there indeed.
The stories of englishtutor are mainly focused on Mary as John's wife and her relationship with John and Sherlock. No doubt, Season 3 will render all this AU, but it's worth reading nonetheless.
Edhla writes interesting, partly interconnected stories of various lenght. Some of them are excellent case-fics, others good character pieces; all of them deserve a look.
StillWaters1 has some excellent stories. I particularly like those in which John is portrayed in his capacity as a doctor.
Whitchcry9 has some decent stuff, some of which I like, some of which I don't, but definitely worth a look.
My hands-down favourites, however, are sevenpercent and chappysmom, whatever I might personally think about the latter's refusal to be a tiny bit helpful towards a fellow author,
These two are diagonal opposites as writing goes. sevenpercent has created a canon-compliant 'verse of her own, that never contradicts the series itself and yet is completely unique. Her stories - long, detailed, thoroughly researched and excellently written stories - are all interconnected, and her knowledge about possible aspects of the life of the Holmes family (like riding or shooting, to name only two) is amazing.
My only problem with her stuff is that it can be extremely depressing at times. It is logical in her settings, as they aren't suited for happy stories, but still hard to stomach sometimes. Still, every single one of her stories is worth reading. My favourite is "Entitled".
chappysmom is a completely different kind of author. She (I assume she is a she) has created at least four different 'verses within the Sherlock fandom, playfully exploring many different possibilities. Basically, she likes giving John different backgrounds and seeing how that would change the well-known stories (episodes), or even her own previous stories. My favourite is the "Hritage" 'verse. She writes crossovers, too, sometimes rather far-fetched ones, but even those are still enjoyable. The only ones I never read were the stories in which John is invisible - sort of - and the Harry Potter crossover, because I despise Harry Potter and everything that has to do with it.
In any case, those are my favourite authors on FF.Net. Feel free to share yours if you like.
