I'm deeply ashamed to say, but I've caved in. Telly programme is so much of a shit - save for the zoo reports in the early afternoon when I'm at work anyway - that I've actually caved in and will be watching "Enterprise" tonight. Unless German TV changes their programme in the last second as usual.

And - I barely dare to mention it - I'm going to watch the blasphemy that's called "reimagined" BSG. I've resisted for years, from the very day it frist hit the ether until today, but there's simply nothing else to watch. Nothing that I would watch anyway. Cause, really Desperate Housewives and Hell's Kitchen isn't worth my time.

At least this drivel is sci-fi. Or what goes as sci-fi in these days. I've decided to forget under what title they've been sold and consier them as completely different shows that don't have a thing to do with Star Trek and Battlestar Galactica (which is the truth, if you think about it). Who knows, that way I might even get some enjoyment out of them.

The only other shows I've given a chance lately were Primeval - The New World and Sanctuary, both of which German TV stopped showing mid-season. Thank God I got the DVDs in Vienna. I also started watching Under the Dome, but it was rather boring, and I couldn't find a single character I'd actually like, so I gave up after 3 hours of wain hope that if would get better.

Other than that, work is still chaotic and utterly exhausting, but I start getting a hang on what it means to be an (assistant, part-time) school bibliothecary. I learned to use the digital system. It's not so bad, but I'm still angry that they won't let me teach more, since that's what I do best and what I've been trained for,.

Ah, well, old hags like me must be grateful that they're still keeping us, I guess.

I've managed to put in some writing (half-)hours between lessons and so, but I am usually too exhausted to type up the stuff when I get home. Perhaps on the weekend, as this time no extra work (either school-or household-related) is looming on the horizon.

Today was my short work day (the only really short one in a fortnight), but I wasted it with lazing on the sofa, watching zoo reports, as well as baking an apple tart and cooking a meal for Mum and myself. Well, wasted writing-wise (although I did do a bit of research on Andorians and wrote two pages for the TNG-story nobody seems to read). Otherwise, I enjoyed baking and cooking once again. And watching baby animals in the zoo.

I'll have to throw those pages out, of course, or at least put into storage for later because they would put the main storyline off focus, but, well, inspring research can do that to a person. Ah, well, it's still writing. And still not typed up...

Okay, I'll shut up now. God, I'm so frigging tired all the time, it's ridiculous!

So, after three hours of watching I found both shows fairly bad. I had no difficulties imagining them being completely different shows -they had nothing to do with the true message, the attitude and the ethics of the originals. That they used some of the same names had no importance at all.

Oh, and despite the technological advancement, the visuals were a lot worse, too. Yes, I know that it's dark out there, in outer space, but not seeing half the things (or people) doesn't make serious drama, sorry...
