Is it just me or has FF.Net changed the way how it displays stories again? The whole review field has wandered off to the right, you can't choose a comfortable size for the script - the letters are either huge or so tiny you can't read them - and the overall thing looks a lot uglier than before.

Why on Earth need they always fix that which isn't broken?

Also, my stats page isn't working properly and the search engine doesn't work at all =(

They seem to be heading the same way as LJ. Hopefully, they'll fix the bugs, but I'm left fumbling to find things that have been moved.

I really can't understand why they're doing this! The site has finally been working without any bigger hiccups for quite some time, and now they're ruining it again!

Search engine seems to work for me at the moment. The new story layout is butt-ugly, though.

How do you make the search engine work? I type in what I want to look for but nothing happens at all!

I know what you mean. It's like when everything is working well, they start tinkering so that it stops working. =(

Well, I chose "Writer" from the drop-down menu and typed in my username. Then I hit Enter, and after some hesitation a long list of users turned up, including my not-so-humble self, all usernames containing Soledad in some way.

Then I chose "Story" and typed in Elf-Root, and my story popped ul all right. Perhaps you overlooked the drop-down menu???

Nope, my problem is there's no Enter button. Figure that out if you can. I've tried on both my browsers, but it's always the same. I've got the drop down menu, I've got a space to type into, but nothing to click on to actually make the search happen. *tears hair out in frustration*

I meant the Enter key on my own keyboard. No, really, it did work.

Well that's a bit daft! Especially as there's nothing on the page to say what you're supposed to do and everything else is controlled by a button on the screen. How do they expect technologically challenged people to figure things out? *mutters to self* My brain can't cope with thinking for itself =P

Yes, it seems to have changed again :S
I suppose it is the idea that change is good... which is a theory with which I strongly disagree.

Yeah, me, too. OTOH, if they didn't change everything all the time, those very clever people they pay to do things for them wouldn't have anything to do.

So, see, it's a shrewd solution: they generate problems, people are upset and complain, their miracle workers solve the problem, and everyone forgets about how ugly the new layout is.

Just went over there - its even more confusing now. What is is with everyone going to so much white space. LJ, FF, Outlook, etc.
I have to admit as a person with eye problems the large type doesn't bother me - but wouldn't it be nice if the sites let you choose the type size you'd like.

Glad to know that I am not the only to hate the changes.
