A long overdue update

wiseheartYes, really! After oh, a few years or so, I actually managed to write some Trekfic again.
If your remember (though really, why should you?) this is the very AU version of the 2nd Season Voyager episode "Resolutions" and part of my Alternate Voyager series... such as it is, consisting of two unfinished stories so far.
Anyway, Chapter 5 has been posted to FF.Net, and since this is the chapter where the Chakotay/Samantha Wildman romance really starts, I notched up the rating a bit. It doesn't deserve an adult rating yet (though it might later), but I thought it's better safe than sorry.
Other than that, it's what the Germans call a Robinsonade, with Chakotay, Sam Wildmann & Kids, a bunch of over-enthusiastic Ocampa, purple bussards, indigo blue goats and other bizarre things.

Other than that, I did an awful lot of background work on Beautiful Minds, the main story of the Iceman'verse. Basically, I wrote a timeline (in the last few days) for the entire 'verse, from 1988 to 2014 so far, although there might be some events even later than that, and I set up a list of all characters that had already appeared in Iceman and/or Convergence or will be appearing in Beautiful Minds (today). I'm mostly done with that one but had to stop when my hand started to cramp. Writing with a fine-liner pen so that I'll be able to read it later is hard work. On the up side, it looks pretty.
Iceman update is scheduled for tomorrow. So far, I'm fairly content with my current activities. Now if only my Tolkien muse would wake up... the upcoming long weekend, thanks a national holiday, would be perfect for writing.

Date: 2013-03-10 02:29 pm (UTC)I'm trying to use whatever spare time I can get. The timeline is some 7 pages long and so is the Icemanverse character list, neither of them is quite completed. If you're a member of the Otherworlds sci-fi Yahoo group, I set up a data table for the characters. It's easier than creating a Word documentum, as the Yahoo data tables automatically put everything in aplhabetical order, which is a great help.
I'm glad you liked the new Iceman chapter. Ianto's just beginning his learning process, but in the end he will succeed. He's a Holmes, after all. And a Jones.
