No luck with Sherlock - The Casebook. The nice lady at Thalia looked up every shop of the chain in town, but neither of them had it. Yeah, I know, I should have mailed them beforehand, but school was being so insane, I kept forgotting it.

In any case, we went to the Christmas market - which was really disappointing this year -, to a fine, old-fashioned (and hair-raisingly expensive) café, just because we felt we deserved it, and I got some things, after all. Like Season 2 of "Tour of Duty" on DVD, as well as the mini-series "World Without End", a DVD about medieval knights, a Camelot film starring Sean Connery, some chocolate and a full-blown cold. Oh, and my back's protesting. So, it was a very industrious trip. *g*

XD!

I could buy it and mail it to you, if you can't find it anywhere else!

Or maybe you could ask if it was possible to order the book through Thalia and have it mailed to you?

And completely OT: take some rest to cure that incipient flu you've been ignoring!! ;)

I'll ask Thalia first if they have it still and if they're delivering to Hungary, too. If thgey don't, I may take you up on your generous offer, and we can discuss compensation. ;))

You know what the common cold is like: when you see the doctor, if heals in a week, if you don't it can last as long as seven whol days. ;)

Lol! It's a shame you couldn't just leave it behind in Vienna!

Thank you. It lasts as long as it lasts - you can't force a cold to go away faster. Unfortunately.

"Tour of Duty" was a show I really admired. Having studied the American involvement in Vietnam in some detail in college, I found it a much more realistic portrayal than previous American tellings of American involvement in that conflict. The films "Apocalypse Now" and "Platoon" each presented powerful stories, but they were both almost mythical in their telling. "Tour of Duty" felt very much more a human-level tale.
