"Atonement" complete

Yep, it's finished, with 12 chapters altogether, 9-14 pages each. It was about the shortest time I've ever finished a multichapter story, considering that I started it after the summer season of
picowrimo, so I'm reasonably proud of myself.
The last two chapters have been typed up, proofread (alas, only by me) and will be released during this weekend and the next one, respectively.
Mum and I have celebrated with eggnogg, sipped from dark chocolate shot glasses. She never read a word of what I've written, since she doesn't even speak English and doesn't share the vast majority of my interests (like sci-fi or fantasy; although we do watch "Castle" and the "Murdoch Mysteries" together). But she always celebrates with me whenever I manage to finish something.
I've also made a sketchy plotline for the next installment of "Sleeping Dragons", but I won't be starting "The Old Terror" for some time yet. First comes
picowrimo and the hope that I might make some headway with "Emissary of the Mark" and "Arthur's Quest".
And even sooner, on October 23, the ten-year-anniversary of Edhellond. I decided to cheat ad post the first chapter of "Sea-Flower" (beta read by the wonderful Larner) to honour the anniversary. The spectacular failing of the planned ficathon killed my inspiration completely, but I still want to make a mark for the anniversary, and "Sea-Flower" has never been posted anywhere before, save some chunks to
edhellondawards years ago, so...
I actually started writing Chapter 2, but it proved very though, so after some 6 pages or so, I put it aside. But I think Chapter 1 will stand on its own for the time being.

Date: 2012-10-22 12:44 pm (UTC)*hugs* Cheating is fine as far as I'm concerned. I've sort of written a story. Not sure if it really fits your prompts, and it isn't very polished and stuff. However, hopefully I should get it posted tomorrow.
