Another step on the way to Hamburg
May. 21st, 2012 08:16 pmWe got out train tickets today, finally. It was a lengthy process. We went to the train station yesterday, but the clerk was such an idiot that we left after half an hour in utter frustration. Today, we went to the travel agency again and got all our tickets and reservations and whatnot. There are little setbacks, like they charged shamelessly for it, and we didn't get places in the sleeping wagons that we could have afforded, so we'll have seats for the 12-hour-trip between Vienna and Hamburg, but, well, that can't be helped. For getting the cheap beds, we should have booked them two months ago, and things were no way in any rediness back then. Ah, well.
Now we have our train trip paid up to Lübeck, which we also want to visit, at least for half a day. And the hotel reservations. I'm beginning to hope that we'll be able to make this trip, after all. There were times when I had serious doubts.
On a completely unrelated topic, the moving of my grandparents to the new place is also on its way. Exhuming was today, cremation will be either this week or the next one, and then they'll be set to their - hopefully - final resting place in the church garden, where they have a very nice, peaceful wall for urns. Mum will be greatly relieved, as it will all be done before we'd leave for Hamburg, so all is well.
Oh, and I've posted "Girl Talk" to FF.Net. It's avery short one-shot, in which Toshiko gives Gwen a piece of her mind. I fully expect to by lynched by the Gwennite mob for it, but it will be worth it.
