wiseheart: (Lancelot)

And not a small one atthat, considering that the chapter I've just finished is about how Princess Elena gets Lancelot into her bed, making him believe that she is Gwen. I've been agonizing over that plotline for ages, and let me tell you, it was frigging hard to work into the story, seeing how the BBC messed up the original character dynamics of the legends. But I think it's fairly plausible now. Still have to type up the last pages, but I'll post an update alert when it's been posted to the Pit of Voles, in a pitiful attempt to find people desperate enough to read it.

Now on to the part where Lancelot conquers the Dolorous Guard. *shudders*

Congratulations! Ah, having finally beat a scene you've been dreading/struggling with for ages is a great feeling, isn't it?

I know nothing of the show, never having seen it, but I'm delighted to hear that you've found success in solving a plotline challenge! (Perhaps your industrious example will get me off my butt to finish a certain WIP that languishes on my computer...)

Merlin is a lovely show. Of course, if someone is a devoted scholar of the Arthurian legends, they would find it an outrage, but if you don't take the legendary background seriously, it has its own unique charm. The young actors playing the lead roles are great and have a fantastic chemistry. Unfortunately, the female leads are... erm... less stellar, as always.

But at least it has the occasional appeareance of Merlin's mother, who is a very likeable character, despite being middle-aged. Which, in this televison business, is a rarity.
