No, but I finally solved the e-mail confirmation problem. I just changed e-mails - apparently, my main e-mail programme blocked the message or whatnot.
To find the import function, go to your profile page, click on "Organize" in the menu, and scroll down to "import content" - after that just follow the instructions ;)
Can I import lj comm entries as well, assuming I'm the maintainer said comm? Cos that would be the more important part for me, to have all my posted stories here together, as safety copies.
So far they only have that option for personal journals.
(Believe me, I wish dw had it for comms as well - I'm also transferring one of my communities over to dw at the moment...one post at a time. Very time consuming by with over 780 posts...! XD)
Speaking of which: I know I'm a really stupid person, but once you've copied your journal, that doesn't mean that any new entries would be automatically copied, does it?
I've got another stoopid question: say, I want to copy the newest entries from LJ (the last two months' worth): can I simply copy the whole journal again, or would DW refuse to do it? And if I can, it doesn't mean that every entry would be there twice, right?
Sorry to bother you, but you seem to be the most technically savvy person on my flist...
You missed by huge birthday party on LJ, by the way. Too bad - we had a week of intense fun.
Yes, you can just import your journal again, dreamwidth automatically only imports the new entries (those that haven't been imported before) - so there will be no double posts!
And it's no bother at all - I volunteered when I lured you over here, remember? *g*
Sorry I missed that as well :( RL isn't really cooperating with my wishes atm...

(Here's a nice how-to guide on crossposting to LJ and DW)
