Illness update and a finished story

Well, I'm somewhat better, and Mum, who's managed to catch the bug from me is slowly recovering, too. It's still no fun. Got 3 days of sick leave out of it, though, so it's not all bad. And then Easter break (5 days), so I actually might manage to make a full recovery. Big cooking and baking orgies have been deleted from the programme, due to the stomach bug, so it promises to be peaceful enough.

In other news, I've managed to finish "Eye Witness". For those selected few among you who care about Torchwood, this is the Tosh romance, taking place during the Battle of Canary Wharf. I'll start posting it to otherwordls_lib as soon as I've gotten through the remaining chapters of "Everything Changes". Then, I might switch to work on some WIPs in different fandoms for a while. Like Cadfael. Or Merlin. Or even, Eru permits, some Tolkienfic. We'll see.

I am pleased to hear you are feeling better and I hope your Mum will recover quickly too. I hope you both will feel well enough to enjoy your Easter break!

For various reasons -- Easter, royal wedding, May bank holiday -- tomorrow is my last day of work for the next two weeks. I am taking two days of annual leave next week, the rest is 'free' time off work that we are all getting. Over the Easter a couple of friends of mine are coming to London, and then next Wednesday I fly to Sweden for a little under a week. I am really looking forward to that, especially since I didn't get back over Christmas and my brother and sister-in-law have had another son this year. Hopefully I will also manage to meet up with some friends, but we will have to see about that.

It's a shame you can't have cooking and baking fun, though. Maybe a belated Easter feast once you're fine again? :P

I'm sorry to hear you've been ill (am way behind on LJ again), but good that you are both recovering. A quiet, relaxing Easter sounds like just the thing you need after that nasty bug. *hugs*
