After having finished "Everything Changes" and written all the random scenes for the sequel that I won't be starting until, oh, my retirement or so, I've finally run out of excuses and had to force Chapter 3 of "Eye Witness" to its knees. Gah, it was a really, really bitter fight. But it seems that I've finally unblocked the way that leads to the end of this particular chapter.

I'm up to Page 12 now, which is about 2/3 of what needs to be written, but considering the fact that I had been stuck on Page 5 for a month, it's not bed. We're in the middle of the Battle of Canary Wharf (yes, I know it only says a thing to Dr Who fans, but that can't be helped), poor Rajesh Singh has just bitten the dust, albeit considerably more heroically than in canon, and Tosh has already given Rose-bloody-Tyler several pieces of her mind. That was really cathartic to write.

I'm not sure I'll manage to stuff the whole Battle into a single chapter, in which case the story will spawn another part. *sighs* But given LJ-limits, 20 pages are about the most I can upload in one post, and since I won't be able to post this to FF.Net, due to the usage of some original dialouge, I'll have to make compromises. Drat, and I so wanted to write something under 5 chapters for a change! Ah, well.

Yay for progress! Some time I will catch up on all the interesting stories you are writing. I do like the idea of Tosh having a go at Rose - she totally deserves it, I'm sure. :)

Oh, yes, she does. *g*

The stories are all posted to [livejournal.com profile] otherworlds_lib, as usual. Whenever the fancy takes you, you'll be mightily welcome. :)

*g* Very tempted to go and read now, but I've banned myself from reading stories until I've written at least 5,000 words on my Babylon 5 story (as I've not been making any progress and I really need to get it properly started - currently at 2,600) - which is, of course, why I'm on lj commenting on things and so on (procrastination - but really I'm trying to work out what is going to happen next)

I'm really looking forward to your Babylon 5 story. I like yours style, and I loved what you did with Masterson, so I expect to like what you'll do with Talia, too.

Thank you. :D
It is nice to know that someone will read the story. Now I just actually have to write it...

Sorry to be so useless as a reader/reviewer these days. I last saw Dr. Who regularly when Jon Pertwee was The Doctor, and I saw bits of Tom Baker, whose Doctor just annoyed the hell out of me. So, I don't know anything about the original or the current Doctors and Companions, meaning I really can't give any constructive comments or even "get" the story. Too bad, because I've always enjoyed your writing in the fandoms where I do know enough to say something. I hope you'll get lots of knowledgeable reader/reviewers on this one!

Well, then, I'll have to write some more Tolkienfic again - perhaps that would lure you back to the screen, eh?
