I've got a text message today on my mobile phone - in English, which is suspect in itself - telling me that my phone number has been selected and I've won 600,000Ł. Just because Nokia is now 40 years old. All I have to do is to send a text message of my own to the address they provided.

Well, if it would be true, I could retire at once, starting tomorrow. All my financial problems would be solved for lifetime. And they're really expecting me to believe this? What kind of idiot do they think they're dealing with? Oh, please.

It would be kind of nice, of course. But I've stopped believing in Santa or the Easter Bunny at the age of nine. Approximately. It was a long time ago.

Edit: On a more positive note - neighbour guy was just here to upload my brand new Norton. So I'm protected from the evils of cyberspace for another year. Yay!

Yay for Norton!!! (I use it, too. Good product.)

And good for you for spotting a scam when you see one.

You know what they say: if something is too good to be true, it usually isn't true. Would be nice to have all that money, though. I could get you over the pond, and much fun would be had.
