This is that infamous Wednesday every other week when I spend eleven (!) grueling hours at work. But today was a fruitious one nevertheless.

As we have our charity Christmas market tomorrow (on behalf of those who lost everything due to the recent environmental catastrophe), there are quite a few books to have at school. Some of them in excellent shape, as we got them as rests from a bookshop chain. I fell in love and brought two of them: Dublin by Edward Rutherfurd and An A to Z of King Arthur and the Holy Grail by Simon Cox and Mark Oxbrow.

It was quite a bargain; in the bookshop, they cost 3,200 and 5,000 Forints, respectively, and I got them for 500 Forint, each. It's so rare that I'd find something I'm really interested in, and that in English, too! I'm very pleased. Perhaps I should dig a bit more tomorrow, before or after I take over one of the stands.

The odd free hour or two that I had between lessons was also useful. I've finally finished Captar 09 of "Sparrows" and started Chapter 10. That's supposed to be the last one, save from a short epilogue... yes, I know I've said that many times, and it never turned out like that, but I'm really hopeful this time. After "Sparrows", I intend to attack "Brothers-in-Arms again, in the hope to finish that one, too, within foreseeable time.

We had choir rehearsal after work, too; Christmas concert is shaping up nicely. I'm promised a contralto solo part *crosses fingers* in Ave Vera Virginitas by Josquin de Pres. I really hope it works out. It's written in a beautifully low region, and I love singing in Latin, too.

Oh, and how could I forget! I've just seen John Barrowman in "Desperate Housewives" - all the fifteen minutes that I could endure of the idiotic show. Boy, but he's aged considerably! A good thing he plays a vengeful ex-terrorist and doesn't have to do the flirting thing all the time... these boyish types don't really age well.

Das hast du bereits. Yum! Rhade! Which reminds me: we ought to return to our epic Niet battle of pheromones, eventually.
