Our old doc has died today. *is sad*

We knew it was only a matter of time, but somehow I still hoped he might pull himself together one last time. On Sunday, he looked reasonably well. :(

The end of a long friendship that lasted thirty-two years and enclosed three generations. The end of an era, in some way.

Yes, the same one. He was diagnosed with pancreas cancer shorty after Mum's operation. They tried to operate on him, too, but had to stop and leave it alone, due of the tumour's location. He'd had chemo for a year or so, and actually even made some headway, but then, well, it seems it wasn't enoug, after all.
