Our old doc has died today. *is sad*

We knew it was only a matter of time, but somehow I still hoped he might pull himself together one last time. On Sunday, he looked reasonably well. :(

The end of a long friendship that lasted thirty-two years and enclosed three generations. The end of an era, in some way.

No, and that's a big relief even for those who mourn for him. He's been in a great deal of pain during this last year. Still, we'll miss him terribly.
