Farewells

Our old doc has died today. *is sad*

We knew it was only a matter of time, but somehow I still hoped he might pull himself together one last time. On Sunday, he looked reasonably well. :(

The end of a long friendship that lasted thirty-two years and enclosed three generations. The end of an era, in some way.

I am so sorry. It is hard to lose a friend, especially one so close to your family. Know that you and your Mom are in my thoughts.

Thanks, Mira. Yes, we were quite close. Grandma was his original patient, as Mum and I didn't use to be sick often. When Grandma died, we kind of inherited the Doc, and when he moved into our area, after the death of his wife, we've become really good friends with him. He'd been retired for the last couple of years but still dropped by sometimes, to have a coffe with us and whatnot. We'll miss him.
