Eclectic entry
Sep. 27th, 2010 09:45 pmI decided that I'm getting way too obsessed with the late 12th century Japan research. So I put it aside with a conscious effort (together with the next Tosh chapter) and dug out "Sparrows" again. Writing Cadfaelfic is an experience of serenity, which, I think, I need at the moment.
I've been working on my two sci-fi stories, featuring Tosh from Torchwood and Serina from BSG, way too "verbissen", as the Germans would say. As a result, the stories suffered, I think. The Serina story definitely did... I'll have to reconstruct the last couple of chapters and decide where to go with them.
Mum had her CT today. Now we have to wait for the results until Thursday, which means more fretting. She visited the old doc in hospital, too. Says he had a moderately bad day.
Had a bit of a headache all day. Not too bad, just annoying. Painkillers won't work; not the usual small dosis, that is, and I'm not taking more. It's probaby the capricious weather anyway.
The usual small patch on my back hurts. Either I slept in a weird position last night, or it was hit by a cold draught. Not so bad, either, but voice of experience says I'll have it at least for a week. Drat. Well, there are worse things.
School's being stressful, as always. Or I'm getting old.
