A potential reader (yay!) alerted me that my stories weren't accessible on the site. Naturally, I ran there in panic and found out that it was true - partially. Some stories I couldn't access at all. Others I could - but not all chapters, I got random error messages when trying to click at some chapters but could access without problems other ones, within the same story.

I sent Support an e-mail, let's see what happens. But we haven't had a spectacular breakdown for years... perhaps it's time for another one?

It's been up and down for me all day today, so I'm sure that they've gotten a bunch of messages from folks about it. Hopefully, it will be fixed by tomorrow. BTW, have you heard from Isis from the M/N group lately? I sent her the latest beta copy of her newest M/N story a few days ago and still haven't heard from her. I hope she is o.k. and that she got it.

No, I'm sorry, but I haven't been around the group - or, indeed, the fandom at large - for quite some time. Been caught up with Original BSG, Torchwood and Doctor Who lately. Plus, Isis and I didn't really have any personal contact. Have you tried her LJ?

FFN is glitchy for two days, now. I cannot access the sewly posted story of a friend, although I see the story on her profile, and I have talked with others on the forums who have read it and reviewed it there. I've sent a notice to support, but of course, no answer. Several userpics are not showing up; several forum posts are not accessible through the link in the alerts, and the page informs you "thread does not exist" if you click on the link in the alert, but if you go to the forum, you can see the topic and access the post by clicking through the threads. It is pretty frustrating.

Usually, all of this happens when they do an update of some sort or another. So, I would not be overly concerned, except if this happens to stories you run in the MEFAS; in that case, you might wish to put the story up somewhere else (Stories of Arda or even your lj) and inform the MEFA admins of the change. Otherwise, yozu can just sit back and wait it out.

Let's see what will come out of the whole server acting up this time.

Oh, FF.net! You can't live with it and you can't live without it. It's like a bad marriage, really. *g*

My stories nominated for the MEFAs are linked to the TFF Archive, so they ought to be accessible - assuming that anyone would be interested in such relatively old stuff. I had them nominated in the hope to catch the interest of people who're somewhat newer to the fandom than I am, and to remind others that I'm still here... in theory. ;)

Haven't written much Tolkien-related stuff lately, save from the first chapter to the Umbar story poor [livejournal.com profile] makamu is still suffering through grammar-wise.
