Mum and me decided to do a traditional Christmas tree this year - the kind with blown glass ornaments and stuff, as it was in her childhood - and mine, too.

This is the result:

To compare with how I usually decorate my Christmas tree, see an example from last year:

Personally, I prefer the style from last year - it's more natural, more balanced and, IMO, more pretty. But Mum was feeling nostalgic, and I wanted to do her the favour.

And finally, a selection from this year's cookie production:

Those cookies make me hungry even though I'm still stuffed from the feasts of the past two days. I want that frosted star one at the bottom of the plate. The tree looks pretty. I like the beaded garlands.

Heh! I so wish I could share my cookies with my cyberfriends. The frosted star one is luxurious indeed: made of ground dark chocolate and ground almonds instead of flour, and covered with white chocolate. Mmmm...

The beaded garlands are all hand-made, actually. The beads are rolled soft paper (like a piece of paper napkin) covered with tin foil chocolate wrappings and the likes. I made them all while watching TV, years ago. :)
