Baking with the Doctor & an update

wiseheartNo, not with that Doctor, British folks, although it might have been fun. As long as bananas are involved, I guess.
Anyway, I mean Dr. Oetker. Which is, as our German friends can tell you, a brand of baking supplies. Among other things, they make back-mixes for all kinds of cookies, cakes, tarts, puddings and whatnot.
Now, I do bake muffins the traditional way sometimes, and I must admit it isn't that hard. But stirring a packet of back-mix with some milk, oil and an egg, pouring the dough into the forms and have the whole thing ready within 25 minutes - you simply can't beat that.
We're about to try out the vanilla cream filled chocolate ones next. And today, I bought the back-mix for brownies. I only tried to make brownies once, and they turned out horrible: like burned bricks, actually. I'm curious how the Dr. Oetker wonder will work with them.
On other news, I've posted the next chapter of my Atlantis/Dr.Who/Torchwood x-over, "Auguries of Immortality", to both![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-community.gif)
otherworlds_lib and FF.net. As for the latter, I'm going to create a poll, in which we can vote about how long it will take until it makes into the Torchwood badfic community as well, since the current chapter isn't Gwen-friendly. ;) Come and share you opinion!
