Chapter 03 - Reunion has been posted to [livejournal.com profile] otherworlds_lib and to FF.Net. So far, the story is doing well. I've apparently made some mistakes with the Classic Who references, which isn't surprising, considering that all I know about the classic show comes from Internet research.

I just wish that people who very helpfully point out the mistakes would make some useful suggestions how to correct them. Apparently, Internet research ain't all that it's said to be. I've got a frigging large Sci-fi lexikon (a real book, I mean), which has all episodes till the Eight Doctor, but there are barely any details that would help.

Ah, well, there won't be many more Classic references anyway, as I've finally arrived to the territory - Atlantis - I know very well. Still, it would be nice to get my facts right.

Mum continues doing well. She told me to give you folks her thanks for the prayers and the good thoughts.

Good that your mother is still doing well. :-)

Couldn't you just write a nice email, thanking them for the concrit and asking if they could give some advice? I think I'd do that.

Oh, I thanked them very nicely and asked for suggestions. They never came.

It's the same thing as whining about one's grammar but not being willing to beta read. Another never-ending misery of my life as an author.

Will do, thanks. :)

Yesterday, we started to go out for short walks. The weather is so pleasant, the best time for her to gain back some of her strength, and the fresh air's done her a wealth of good. Thankfully, school's been easier this week - with a couple of classes in language camp, I had to go to work late each day, so I could spend some quality Mum time at home. *g*

This is wonderful news! I hope the weather holds for you so you can enjoy your walks together a bit longer before the cooler days come. [hugs to you both]

How are you doing anyway? Have heard about the fires down there on TV, I hope they aren't in your area. Are you folks okay?

For once, the fires are 1000km north of us, not on our doorstep! All we're dealing with locally is severe wind and bad blizzards in the high country 30km away. That's enough, though!

Oh, good! Not the blizzards, obviously, but the no fires part. I'm always a bit worried when you vanish from cyberspace for longer stretches.

Blame the phone company! They won't fix our phone lines properly, so every time there's a hint of rain, Newry's phones play up.
