All this on one lousy day

Temperatures are still rising. My computer keeps overheating in less than an hour, so that I have to switch it off. My video recorder is breaking down (it refuses to accept certain tapes while it still happily accepts and plays other ones). I've forgotten something very important I should have done for tomorrow's teacher conference, so I'll have to go in an hour earlier tomorrow and do it in haste.

Oh, and of course ff.net is inaccessible once again.

Have I forgotten anything?

Perhaps to run screaming down the hall fleeing desperately from all your RL problems. Is it the heat causing all your electric appliance problems?

I don't know what ails the video recorder - other than old age, that is. It's over 8 already and never needed a reparature. Maybe it's just time.

As for running down the hall screaming... First, it's too hot for that, and second, our hall is about 2 metres long and one meter wide, there's not much running I could do, even in a more moderate weather. :)

Yes, you'd just bounce off the walls!! Quite painful. Maybe the video needs a good clean and service? We had ours done recently, and it's over 10 and now, no worries. I guess too, that it depends on how much you use your machine!
