New fandoms ahead...

Because I really need another few, aside from the dozen or so that I follow more or less regularly, do I? :))

Anyway, the wonderful fact is that the_wild_iris, who's a most generous person, sent me "Merlin" and "Red Dwarf" DVDs. Now that I'm looking forward to a long weekend starting with May 1, I'll have a few really long movie nights, and even the chance to enjoy my shiny new Precioussses properly.

Thank you, the_wild_iris, you're a true gem!

I'm also quite caught up in Torchwood at the moment, writing some reeeeally evil Torchwood fic, which can be viewed on otherworlds_lib. Unless you like Gwen, of course, in which case you'd better keep clear of it. I despise the character and write heavy-duty Gwen bashing. Which is the reason why the stories won't be posted anywhere else.

I should warn you that Eve Myles (Gwen) appears in the first episode of Merlin - although she plays quite a different character.

I know about Eve's apprearance in Merlin. Folks on antigwenallies have posted links to pictures. I think the makeup suits her. *evil grin*

I really don't want to get involved with the fandom itself. I'm already active in enough fandoms for two lifetimes. *g*

But the visuals of Merlin look gorgeous (I took a quick peak to see whether my DVD player feels like playing them; you can never know), and what's even more delightful, the actors speak very clearly, so that my little foreigner ears can understand what they are saying, which is, alas, not a common thing.

In fact I've read a couple of Merlin fanfics, because one on of my F-list writes them. I've never seen an episode of Merlin, but the fanfic is hotttt! ;-)

Now THAT is nice! So often, actors do not seem to realize the importance of the audience actually being able to hear their lines. *rolls eyes* Kudos to the boys!

Well, duh, all we need to do is to get obscenely rich, and that soon - that would solve the time problem, wouldn't it?

Still,I'm glad that I'm still not tempted to write Merlin fic. The main characters are just too young for me. Even though I adore them, they're just not the age I usually write.
