Eighteen Hungarian districts (the same as the various states in the US, just much, much, smaller) have decided that schools would be closed for the first three days of next week, to save energy. Of Budapest itself and the one district still left are no news so far.

I'm of two minds about what I'd wish for us in Budapest. Staying home would be nice, of course, but that would mean working longer in June, when it's unbearably hot. There are no normal weather conditions anymore, it seems.

Well, we'll see. It's not my decision, after all. Whatever the PTB decide, I'll try to make the best of it.

Thanks. It seems that fifteen of the districts chose to have school on Monday after all, so it's rather unlikely that we won't. Besides, Budapest is in a much better shape; on the country, the major problem is that the kids sometimes have a long way to school, since the smaller local schools got closed - for financial reasons, of course.
