A wasted afternoon

I visited an old friend today. Have planned to do so since - oh, I don't know, maybe last December. The ironic thing is, she lives in the next house. We just never manage to get around our own schedules to walk about 30 metres. *shakes head*
Anyway, I went to her because I needed some fonts that I had lost when my Windows broke down last December. I also asked her to borrow me a CD with lots of fantasy pictures, by Boris Vallejo, Rowena Morril, the Hildebrandt brothers and other artists.
Instead of doing so - which would have resulted in me copying the pictures onto my HD and then burning a CD for myself - she insisted to copy the CD for me. Her program obviously had a malfunction. After 2.5 hours of labouring, she finally declared the heroic deed done and handed my my brand new CD with great flair.
When I came home, the fonts showed up on the CD just finely, but there's no sign of any pictures. Ah, well. Life is fun. My afternoon is wasted, and I'll most likely waste my evening, too, with trying to hunt down the same artitst on the 'Net.
The only really sad point in the whole thing is, that we didn't even have the time to talk properly.
