Mum update & other things

Well, the Mum-related news seem to be better.
She went to that ultrasound thingie today, and they found nothing worrysome with her liver... nothing that could be seen that way. So, perhaps it was a bug, after all, or a very mild case of hepatitis that passed unnoticed. She'll have to go back to the other doctor, of course, and to her neurologist who wanted the examination in the first place, plus she'll have to have other blood test, soon, but we're more hopeful again. I'm... well, the right expression would be "tentatively relieved", I guess.
School's being exhausting, as always. Or perhaps I'm getting older. I don't really know. But I'm so tired all the time it's not even funny. Now that the last bout of depressions seems to be over - at least temporarily - I guess I've probably just collapsed like a punctured balloon. That and the lack of proper sleep. *g*
Writing-wise, I've deflated a bit after the frantic activity recently. The only thing I wrote last week was a chapter of my Dwarf-fic "The Book of Mazarbul". It's a later chapter, written out of order, so I only posted it to Axe&Bow for, well, testing the waters. So far, it got no reaction. Either the list is dead, or it's the lack of Legolas/Gimli slash. Ah, well. Got a very nice private comment from the lovely
disthrainsdotte. We Pervy Dwarf-fanciers need to held together against the rest of the world, eh?
I wish by God I could finish "Elf-root" and "Web of Darkness", soon. As much as I love both stories, I'd like to move on. Both need a couple of more chapters, though, and while I have a solid idea how they will have to end, actually sitting down and write those chapters would require more energy and willpower than I currently call my own. So, instead of finish them, I've started a new story - like always. Gah, I'm such a stupid cow!
There was something else, but it's very late, I'm drained and will have to clean the stupid flat again in the morning. So, off to the land of Morpheus, before I pass out over my laptop.

Date: 2008-09-27 02:30 pm (UTC)I hope it keeps that way. Mum and I have plans for the year that lies before us, and we'd like to keep them.

Date: 2008-09-28 11:03 am (UTC)As for being exhausted: experience tells me that it does tend to set in earlier when you're older, alas. Getting enough sleep is very important, but once inspiration strikes, sleep is not always easy to get...
