Busy weekend

I spent my weekend with the elderly, the dead and the dying. In this order.

Yesterday our old doctor visited us again. We had lots of fun, and he stayed till half past ten. It was nice.

Today, in the early hours, we went to the cemetery to look after the grave of the grandparents. What can I say? It was still there. I've been trying to persuade Mum to have them transferred to another cemetery in the neighbourhood, where we'd only need half an hour to get there (and therefore could visit the grave more often), but so far, no luck.

Afterwards we visited Mum's lady friend(with a third friend of theirs) who lives near the cemetery and is terminally ill. We found her on a literal dungheap, as her son's too busy drinking all the time to care for her. So we called a doctor and had her brought to the hospital. We don't expect to see her again, but at least she will die in a more... dignified manner.

I added a few more recommendations to telekis_vendiak, in the BSG section.

I also posted "Elf-root" and "The Book of Mazarbul" to TFF, where both stories got ignored as usual. At least on SoA I got some minimal feedback. Ah, well, there's no legal reason why life should stop sucking right now.

Oh, yes, and it's insanely hot still, and my main PC shows signs of dying again. Joy, joy, joy.

Looks like you had a quite busy weekend.

That drinking son makes me angry. *glares in his general direction* Probably for the best I am not in the area, as I think he deserves a kick in his rear end.

We had a hot spell here but it is cooler now. Which is good.

I hope it will be cool when we are over there, too. I still don't have the detailed programme, but I'll write you privately as soon as it arrives. It seems though that we'll have a couple of hours free on August 4, before boarding the plane, due to timetable changes.
