"Star Command" 1996
Mar. 7th, 2008 10:22 pmI bought the DVD version today on a supermarket sale. I must admit, I mostly did it because the excellent Nigel Bennett had a 5-minute-part in it, and I've never heard his true voice. Besides, I like sci-fi, even juvenile sci-fi.
Yeah, sure, it was juvenile, not to mention extremely predictable. But the design was neat, the characters likeable while very humanly flawed, and it was nice, light entertainment. For less than 2 Euros, it was well worth the investition.
Further actors involved were Jay Underwood, Kelly Hu, Morgan Faichaild (who, unfortunately, stood out like a sore thumb), Tembi Locke, Ivan Sergei and a few I couldn't recognize. All in all, I really liked it - especially because it didn't try to be more than it was, like veiling the simplicistic plot with Deep Thoughts(TM).
