Small events
Mar. 6th, 2008 09:39 pmThe guys finally fixed my satellite dish/receiver/cable... and whatever else was wrong with the goddamn thing. I hope it will last for a while now that it almost ate a whole month's worth of salary. Mum donated a little cash, though, saying that she doesn't have any sensitive Easter present for me anyway. God bless her.
She also said that we'll be going to Vienna nonetheless because after all that stress we need a little distraction. It will be the Thursday before Easter, which is March 20, if I'm not mistaken.
I've posted Chapter 7 of "Web of Darkness" to FF.Net. It's nice to see that quite a few people added the story to their favs and C2s and alert lists, but the reviews are very few. One of them was an arrogant anonymous one, which I deleted. I'm not willing to put up with that sort of abuse any longer.
I wish those people who apparently like the story would toss me a bone sometimes. It's such a rare thing that one gets a little appreciation in those days... unless one has the gene for it, that is.
School promises to be hell again in the next two weeks, including our 40-year-anniversary and other additional stress. But it's necessary to make the institution a well-known one in the district. That means more students, which means that we might be able to keep our jobs.
I'm too tired to discuss politics right now.

Date: 2008-03-08 01:14 am (UTC)Hurrah for Vienna! Macht spass, baby!
Sorry I haven't read. It's after 8pm Friday and I'm just leaving the office after printing articles for my class assignment.
Good luck with the anniversary events. Here's hoping for lots of new students!
