I'm an idiot of the size of a stellar system. I realized why the word ass has been replaced by asterisks. I've first posted the chapter to the Otherworlds discussion board, where I set rather rigorous filters because at a time, we had some idiot spammers who loved to post filth. So, I apologize by LJ for suspecting them!

That said, I still have no idea how to change that 'collaps adult material' filter for the comms, so helpful suggestions are welcome.

Also, I've just realized that I neglected to post the last two chapters of "Out of Legends" to [livejournal.com profile] otherworlds_lib. I've hurriedly posted Chapter 10, in which the Atlantis and the Andromeda crew almost run into each other, and will post Chapter 11, soon. Sorry for the delay.

In case anyone is interested, Luthienn has also updated "Flarn Manages" on FF.Net. I've already got the file to post it to [livejournal.com profile] otherworlds_lib, but I might wait with it for a while yet. So, right now FF.Net is the only option. The story is on my Favourites list, if anyone is interested, it's a B5 AU, featuring both B5 and Crusade characters.

I think you just need to put something that says material under this tag may be inappropiate for kids under 14. At least that's what I've seen on one friend's LJ. Actually, otherwise, I'm not sure how it's done.

See edited post above. I was really stupid to work myself up about the whole issue so much. But the sad fact is that my nerves are really stretched thin due to work-related unpleasantness, and any new pressure results in inappropriate reactions. I either get fits of rage or start crying unstoppably.*sighs*

It's really time to become disgustingly rich, I tell you!

That's taking the nanny act a bit too far...

On the Settings page (Journal > Settings), you can change how LJ displays adult content. The default option is 'collapse adult concepts and explicit content', which I suppose might cause swear words to be hidden. If you haven't yet changed your settings, you could try that. (You need to set your age in your profile first, otherwise you won't be able to change the filter.)

Or, did you post the story in a community? If it's not your personal journal settings that are causing the problem (test: ass!), you could try adjusting the community settings or asking the community maintainer to adjust them.

It's in the [livejournal.com profile] edhellondawards community. And it won't let me change the frigging default option, although my age is set in my profile. I have no idea what to do. I'm the maintainer, and I'm obviously and ass. Not the donkey kind of it either.

Can you change the setting on that particular post? (i.e. by editing it and changing the 'Adult Content' setting near the bottom of the form)

Thanks for the advice. It was a misunderstanding, really.
*points at modified post and at apologies to Cirdan above*

In any case, I changed the setting of the whole comm to Adult concepts, just in case that something higher rated would bother any random readers, and am hoping for the best between two nervous breakdowns.
