Bleh. Am sick like a dog again - which is not surprising, actually. We had a nineteen degree temperature fall (measured in Celsius, mind you) two weeks ago, and have been freezing to dead ever since, as the house management isn't willing to start the central heating ahead of time. The same is going on at school. Both buildings are made of concrete, which takes over the outside temperature within the hour.

I still don't have a new screen for my old PC, which means I still can't access part of my stuff. Saves me well, for not having saved it more frequently to CD. My new Notebook still doesn't have a CD-burner installed... perhaps tomorrow. Oh, and I still hate the keypad. *grrrr* But at least I can work and go online. That means a lot.

To make everyone even happier, my satellite dish has just died on me. I could listen to the programmes as if my TV set were a radio, but I have no picture. Joy! That will eat some sourly-earned money again. But we all have to pay the price for our addictions, eh?

Have done quite some writing in the recent day, plus a great deal of Dwarf-related research. So I'm relatively content. Perhaps one day these electronic machines would cease to break down all the time and allow me a nice, long break.

We can all dream, right?

Sorry you're not feeling well. Concentrate on getting yourself better before healing the electronics :)

Yeah, but the problem is, I *can't* heal the electronics! Being dependent on other (and unwilling) people all the time is really burdensome.

I am sorry to hear that you don“t feel well. I hope you will feel better soon. And I hope the electronic things will stop breaking down on you.

Brrrr! I hope you recover quickly: you don't need one of those long, lingering respiratory infections again this year!

And good luck with the electronics. They are such expensive pets, aren't they?!

[English edit: "Saves me well" should be "Serves me right," I think.]

Oh, thanks! And that's a phrase I've actually known! "Serves me right" for updating my journal while barely capable of keeping my eyes open. *g*

Life does seem to have it in for you right now. Here's hoping you're soon well, with a working television set.

They took my satellite receiver (not the dish, the little black box that's connecetd to the TV). I hope it's still salvageable. I haven't plannet to switch to digital just yet.

Your computer's playing up, the satellite has died and you're freezing. Good thing I'm working on that Numenorean fic to cheer you up!

Hint: The POV is someone involved in the Fall, but you'll never guess who!
