...literally, this time. My 26-year-old bridge has been removed today. My dentist, who's a true gem, says I can have the new one next monday. So, now I have holes in my mouth of the size of a troll cave (I mean the holes, not my mouth), tender spots where the old brige has sunk too deeply into my flesh, and I itch from the inside like crazy... Sitting through teachers' conferences tomorrow sill be such a joy - NOT!

Dental work is never fun. Here's hoping Monday arrives soon!

Ow! (says she - had a removable plate at 9 .... removed it frequently and for extended periods of time. Did not like attempts to re-introduce it at 13). Still have gap.

Does Bonjela help?
Cheers!

Aniseed-flavoured soothing gel one rubs on poor-sore baby gums when teething. :)
I've used it on myself when awaiting a dental appointment.

Oh, I see. No, we don't have it over here. I'm using chamomile tea. *shudders*

I'm glad you have good dentist - I've seen the difference it makes with the Beloved. I hope the new bridge fits nicely and gives you many years of much more comfortable service! (In the meantime, practice your Cave Troll scowls and snarls at the teachers' conferences...[evil grin])

Yep, this woman is truly a blessing. New bridge will be pre-fitted tomorrow, and if everything goes well, it will be permanently glued on Tuesday.

As for scowls - yeah, I should. I've just learned that they assigned me to another afternoon duty... the same dull and useless one as the other two. So, I'll basically have to spend three afternoons at school, in addition to the morning classes. For example, I'll rot there every Friday from ten am to four pm, doing completely senseless "work" and not using my language skills at all, although the others are ten sea miles behind me in that department.

I've volunteered to work evaluation. Someone had to, and if they have a problem with my work, well, then I'd like to know what that is and have it written. If not, that might help me argue against such assignments.

Sounds as if you are going through a tough time where teeth are concerned, I hope you will feel better soon.

Thanks, Dís.
What I truly dread are the days after the new bridge gets glued on. Those will be really unpleasant, I'm afraid.

I haven´t been in need of any bridges and I am happy for it. I hope all will be good in the end.
