...for the Stargatefan Awards with Choices and Plan Z. Go figure. Since I'm quite fond of both stories, I'm well pleased. This is the second time anything non-Tolkien-related of mine gets recognized... and I still don't know what happened with the nomination of Bad Karma, ultimately. Perhaps I'm just too stupid to find out... *g*

In any case, it's nice. Even if I don't win any award - which is likely, since I'm not a Big Name (TM) in the fandom, perhaps a few people will be inspired to read my stuff. And, if I'm very lucky, they might even drop me a comment, if they like what they read.

Congratulations! I have no ide what Stargate is, so it doesn't make much sense to read Stargate fanfiction for me. On the over hand, if it is like "Emissary of the Mark", or "Young Knights", I might as well try. Tell me how much of canon I need to know (and in what media it comes).

Well, basically, Stargate is a sci-fi show, based on the idea of the... well, the Stargate itself, which is a large circle of some unknown material and makes it possible to travel to other planets in seconds. It builds up a wormhole to another Stargate, so you can only go to planets that already have such a device.

I'm afraid my stories would require a good deal of canon knowledge, as they're usually character-driven. Unless you just want to read them as if the were pieces of original fiction, that is. :)

But I can promise you some more Tolkienfic, soon. [livejournal.com profile] the_wild_iris has beta-ed the next chapter of "The Shoemaker's Daughter, which also takes place in Halabor, and I'll post it as soon as I've finally managed to make the corrections.

Congratulations! It's lovely to have been nominated. Seems like people do read, even if they're not always great at commenting!

Awesome. I really like Choices. It's in my favorites on ff.net. Is this something anyone can vote on or do you have to be a member of the site?

To be honest, I don't really know. I've never heard about the whole thing before.
