Our annual cultural event

It was a nice one again. My kids produced the play we've won several festivals with, and they were really good, Mum liked them a lot. the other performances were impressive, at least 80 per cent of them, and the rest was still tolerable, so all in all, it was a good day. Two good days, actually, as this year we made a double event of it, so that all parents could come and see their chicks (the theatre room is fairly small).

Picspam will follow when I got some. There will be a DVD, too, and this year I'll perhaps buy a copy.

The next weeks will be a bit chaotic. On Saturday, Mum and I will go on a trip to Prague (Zelenka fans, eat your hearts out!), organized by my school. I'll take my camera and more picspam is planned for you guys.

We come back on May 1, wash our dirty clothes, and on May 4, I'm going to Germany, to Herxheim (small town near Karlsruhe aka the French border) with 4 colleagues and some 40 kids. The little trolls are gonna stay with families, so that they may practice their German, and we'll lodge in the guest house of a local convent.

Perhaps I'll write some Cadfael stuff while there. I intend to take my German breviary with me, perhaps the sisters have office that I can join. It would be nice.

I'll be back on May 12, fairly late, so there won't be Tolkien Quiz updates for the next two weekends. Sorry.

Oh, OK, it's not entirely vacation, but at least it's AWAY! Again, I hope you have a lovely trip, that the trolls behave themselves and need little supervision, leaving you plenty of time for writing, sightseeing and communing with the sisters in Cadfael style! Safe journey!

Thanks. I hope we won't be seeing too much of the kids. I know I'm mean, but if I'm going to travel trice fifteen hours by bus, at least the time in-between should be restful. *g*
