As you already know, I was insane enough to sign up to the Radek ficathon, because there's never enough Radek fic in the universe. So, I'm to produce a minimum of 1,000 word till April 23. Not a big deal for me, usually, verbose writer as I am. But I'm having a serious problem: [spoiler behind the tag, so ficathon participants, please, stay out, or you'll kill the surprise]

Okay, my task would be to write a story in which Sheppard's team gets into shit off-world (which happens in practically every single episode), and they need Radek to help them get home. It's incredibly hard to come up with anything read-worthy for a topic that you can see almost every week on the show. Plus, I suck at run-of-the-mill action-adventure.

It was also mentioned that I'd get bonus points for Radek/Rodney or Radek/Carson slash. Unfortuantely, while I'm not adverse to writing slash (as you all know), those are two pairings I actually don't see, unless I turn the whole thing into a crackfic.

In fact, I'm seriously tempted to use this challenge, which has been posted to Wraithbait quite some time ago... if I could come up with a halfway convincing scenario for it.

Edit: Drat! For some reason, the link always ends up on the main Wraithbait page, although I've copy&pasted the right link. anyway, it's the full text of the challenge:

Story should include Rodney, John, Carson, and Radek. Slash if you want. Threesome or more if you so chose. Whatever rating, yada...very forgiving structure so far, eh? Well, somewhere within the story should include the following statement from Radek:

"You have found some Ancient impregnation device and have decided that I will be your brood-mare for wild-haired fey children with astronomical IQs, god-like ATA-genes, and sexy brogues?"

Sounds fun, eh?

Ideas, suggestions, etc. are thankfully accepted and will be properly credited.

I don't know the ficdom/fandom at all, but I'm am betting you can SOOOO do this one: with a line like that, I just know the True Evil(tm) within you will be able to make it work. And it will be well-written, to boot. If you write it, I promise I will read AND review, even if I don't have a clue as to who these people are. You go, girl!

Heh! I'll try my best. And you don't really need to know the people. In a depressingly large chunk of Atlantis fanfic the only thing common with the actual show is the name of the characters.
