Okay, I'm a bit early, but I still have things to do, so I thought I'd make this entry as long as I can.

So, the party opener. Actually, it was [livejournal.com profile] larian who's found it for me yesterday, when I took this test..

It tells me I should overcome my secret fear of Elves. *g*

Suggestions how to do it are readily accepted. Other than that, bring on your comments, your jokes, your funny stories, and let's see if we can collaps the threads again.

A HAPPY 2007 TO EVERYONE!!!

I wanted the above to be red or of sparky colours, but I don't know how to do that. *is grumpy about own stupidity*

I took the same test and this is the result I got.

In 2007, disthrainsdotte resolves to...
Stop reading with dwarrowchild.
Give some dwarves to charity.
Take i_o_r_h_a_e_l choirsinging.
Give up soar38s.
Cut down to ten nienna_elensars a day.
Buy new akashaelfwitchs.

I love Dwarrowchilds fics so I can´t stop reading them but I would love to take Iorhael choirsinging.

Er, short of jokes & funny stories (it's been one of those years) but I hope 2007 brings you everything that you could possibly desire. Oh, and I got...

In 2007, espresso_addict resolves to...
Become a better cuillin.
Find a better gender.
Put fifty crossovers a month into my savings account.
Go writing three times a week.
Admit my true feelings to aliverpoolfc.
Volunteer to spend time with scottish highlands.

Choirsinging would be fun indeed. Too bad we still can't do that virtually. *g*

So, Dwarrowchild's fics are good? I'll have to check them out, then. In teh new year perhaps?

Well, fifty crossovers a month is a bit overdoing things... although I shouldn't speak, I have to manage fifty desert warriors. *g*

In the new year sounds like a good time to check out fics. :)

But what's denethoring? Are you supposed to burn yourself on a pyre every Sunday? That sound... painful.

Keeping your Avari clean is a good resolution, though. You know these Elves are pretty fastidious - not a hair out of order, after having killed a dozen Giant Spiders and whatnot. *g*

And a new Andrahar, oh yeah, baby, that's a hot thing! Desert warriors rock.

Oooh, caught you online?

I didn't intend to return to LJ before midnight, but the TV programme is so incredibly boring I couldn't stay before the telly. Not even after having watched recorded "Queer as Folk" episodes for two hours!

Where's best to look for Dwarrowchild's fics?

I am online. I have gone through my e-mail and read some fics.

I have looked a bit on TV and will return to it later but most of the programs are reruns I have seen before.

I think Axe-Bow would be a good place to start looking, also Legends Remain. I am sure there are other sites also but these I remember at the moment.

Well, my endlessly ongoing novel(TM) is a crossover, so "bank 50 crossover pages a month" would be a plausible aim. I've been trying to come up with some writing aims for 2007 for the ongoing [livejournal.com profile] picowrimo but I've not come up with anything I feel I can stick to yet. What are your writing aims for next year?

Now tucking into luxury stollen & mulled wine whilst [livejournal.com profile] aliverpoolfc (my OH) downloads some nice files for me :)

What are your writing aims for next year?

God, I have so many unfinished projects it's not even funny! In at least eleven (!) different fandoms. But the ones most likely to be done something about are:

1) "Emissary of the Mark" - a pre-LOTR Rohan fic, featuring Elfhelm and his adventures in Rhún;

2) "The Joy Machine", the second part of my original Trek/original BSG crossover series;

3) "The Toreador Chronicles", which is a crossover between several vampire-related fandoms (Angel, Buffy, Kindred and Poltergeist - The Legacy) and the US-version of Queer As Folk.

The first two are practically written in Hungarian already, just need to be translated and - in the case of Emissary - adapted to the fandom. The third one is pretty much planned out and 2/3 of it written and posted already, so it has some meagre chance to be finished in 2007.

In 2007, lhun_dweller resolves to...
Overcome my secret fear of bhenders82s.
Volunteer to spend time with appoggiatos.
Tell my family about larians.
Apply for a new mirasaui.
Find a better snickelpop.
Give up wisehearts.
Get your own New Year's Resolutions:

I can't imagine why I should ever want a different Mira or Snickelpop, so I'll just break those resolutions right away. (After all, one wouldn't want to be PERFECT, now would one, lest one become a Mary-Sue???)

However, my visit must be brief because both the Beloved and I are still home sick. We are having some homemade pizza, perhaps something "medicinal" to drink (more Elven than Dwarven this time, I think - that "Hahmmer" stuff put hair on my toes!). If we're awake at midnight, we'll go downstairs and step outside to toast our Central American neighbors, then come back and go to bed.

Wishing everyone a fine, fun and healthy New Year!

It is about a Lady who celebrates her birthday with four friends. The four friends are deceased so her butler has to impersonate eack one of them. The butler also trips over the skull of a polar bear rug that lies on the floor. I don´t know the title in english but I can´t help laughing when I see it. :D

Belated Entry - last editing attempt. Sigh!

From: [identity profile] crowdaughter.livejournal.com

Sorry for missing the actual event, I was out with friends. I took that meme. too, but the "new year resolutions" I've got are impossible to fulfill:

[livejournal.com profile] crowdaughter resolves to...

- Pay for my fps on time;
- Volunteer to spend time with rps;
- Spend less time on lotr;
- Get back in contact with some old methos;
- Put fifty legolas a month into my savings account;
- Go to viggorli every Sunday.

Now, I can't start paying for my fps (fictional person slash) on time (or according to time spent with it - what would be worse!) - because I would be broke in no time if I did; and I absolutely can't cut down on spending time with lotr; the very suggestion is most silly indeed!
I may consider to spent more time than I already do with rps (real person slash), though, if there are the right kind of stories to be found; I have neglected it a bit these last few months. And I have definitely no problems with trying to get into contact with some old Methos again! :) But seriously, if I had fifty Legolas a month, I would certainly have muchbetter uses for them than to put them into a saving account.. (big grin).

A very happy new year to you, and cheers! May 2007 be a better year than the one before!
