May. 8th, 2003 03:27 pmChapter 13 of "Elvenhome" has written itself yesterday between lessons and the teachers' conference about - you won't believe it! - family therapy. Chapter 14 is on tis way. Go me!
While working on the layout for the new site, I've leafed through my Original Trek/BG crossover stories and made an interesting discovery: they are all very timid, het or gen stories, highest rating probably PG. The same is true for my original fantasy novel; only a few adjoining stories would go as high as PG-13.
I was thinking of adding an m/m couple to one of my Trek/BG stories and found that I couldn't do it, unless I translate the whole monstrosity into English. It sounded utterly hilarious in my own tongue or even in German. It seems that only English is a language from which I have a big enough emotional distance so that I can write things that are, well, less timid. Now I'm starting to wonder what I might be able to write should I ever manage to learn French.
